And so the first of our little garden sprouts have sprung.Oh, yes, they have. They are too there! Right there! See....there in the middle. The little green thingies surrounded by the rocks, tanbark, and dry unfertilized dirt. That's them!
"Aw, man!" Chago says.
"What, baby? This is great news." I reply.
"Why the lettuce, of all things?" he pouts. "That's my least favorite thing."
"Hey," I say, "it could've been spinach."
"Ay, mom," he says in that exasperated tone, "no more of the silver lining thing, please."
